The 1st permanent settler came to Ferrisburg, Addison County, Vermont with his family in March 1784. The 2nd family came 5 1/2 months later and Nathan Walker soon after. The 1st religious meeting in Ferrisburgh was held at Nathan Walker's house. Nathan located on road fifty in 1790. He died October 19, 1823, and was buried in the cemetery on road thirty-six.
